![]() ![]() When she had no antagonist in Mystic Falls, she basically had no purpose. Kai was a great villain, and though we hate how he died, we rather him die on top than becoming too annoying like some other villains.īonnie got a really good and interesting story-arc, until they separated her and Kai. And boy do we hate Silas and the Travelers. ![]() The heretics, Lily, and Enzo have been almost as bad as Silas and the Travelers at this point. We also liked that Matt finally became a cop, but why and how he became the sheriff of Mystic Falls is beyond us.įrom this interview, it seems like the main purpose of Kai’s return (or maybe even his initial storyline) was to introduce the heretics. You know where a girl doesn’t need a male figure to swoop in and save them because they can save themselves. We know that’s what the writers wanted, but it just came off inconsistent and alienating to the characters’ fans.Īlso we wanted the battle to only be between Kai and Bonnie, with Bonnie getting to kill Kai because of something called girl power. It killed all the lovableness right out of him. We loved Kai but the show made him uncomfortably dark on this episode. The epic battle between Kai and Bonnie was anything but epic, especially because Damon got to steal her thunder by beheading Kai. We don’t get why the writers keep doing that with their old couples. We also didn’t appreciate the whole making Stelena seem really irrelevant as a romance. The Damon and Elena tragedy was pretty small compared to Alaric losing his wife and kids, and Tyler having to kill his girlfriend and become a werewolf again (which he hates).Īll the Elena goodbyes felt kind of rushed. ![]() It had so much blood and tragedy, especially for Tyler and Alaric. You could tell that The Vampire Diaries‘ writers had just binge watched Game of Thrones. ![]()
